What We Need to Do Now: For a Zero Carbon Future by Chris Goodall

All about how we can get carbon neutral by 2050, the author draws on actions, policies and technologies emerging across the world. I realised I needed to increase my in depth knowledge of the important issues and possible solutions, following my involvement with Amy Jackson’s Little Voices installation; a project centered on climate change.

Natives: Race and Class in the Ruins of Empire by Akala

Speaking directly to the issue of racism and classism in Britain, Akala confronts these issues in an incredibly readable, direct and personal way. I want to gain a better understanding of my white privilege and the legacy and far reaching effects of colonialism and be able to reflect on my practice, challenge my choices as a curator and connect with and provide opportunities to a diverse selection of artists. I am currently participating in a series of discussion workshops on social justice and equality with Board members and staff of Primary, as part of the institution's commitment to ensure diversity and equality is at the heart of the organisation and everything it does.
